Hawaii Pacific University Athletics

Jocelyn Tani joins the Sharks from Cypress High School in Cypress, California. The 5-foot-7 shooting guard is pursuing a degree in Public Health at Hawai?i Pacific.

Tani played under head coach Nathaniel Rivera during her high school career, contributing as both a shooting guard and center. Her versatility, size, and ability to impact the game in multiple roles make her a valuable addition to the Sharks as she begins her collegiate career.

Tani chose HPU because of Hawai?i's culture, strong sense of community, and the opportunity to continue her education in a place that feels like home. She also views attending HPU as a way to fulfill both her own dream and her father's while making her family proud. Away from the court, she enjoys going to the beach, hiking, drawing, and spending time with family and friends. Looking ahead, she hopes to build a stable career and one day give back to her parents for everything they have done to support her.
