Personal: Born in Orange, California...parents are Cheryl and Andrew Pierce...has one sister Justine (23)...hobbies are surfing and playing beach volleyball...favorite foods are pizza and hamburgers...other favorites are the music group U2, movie Remember The Titans, and athlete Steve Nash...is a Pre-Chiropractic major...in 10 years he would like to be putting his education to good use living a healthy, wealthy, and happy life...chose HPU for the opportunity to play basketball in Hawai'i.

Prior To HPU: Graduated from Mater Dei High School in California...lettered in basketball under Coach Gary McKnight...was a member of the 2007-08 team that won the California state championship, and the 2009-10 team that was named CIF Champions.

HPU: 2011-2012: Played in 22 games (started in 3)…averaged a point per game…shot .292 from the field goal and .667 from the free throw range…added six three-pointers…against Viterbo (WI) Michael had a game high of two assists and one blocked shots. 2010-2011: Redshirted.
