Kylan Kono is an infielder from Aiea, Hawai?i. He joins Hawai?i Pacific after playing at Lassen Community College in Susanville, California, where he competed at shortstop and second base under head coach Frank Avilla. During his time at Lassen, Kono was a two-time First Team All-Conference selection, earned All-Northern California recognition and received a Rawlings Gold Glove. He also earned a 4.0 GPA.

Kono graduated from Aiea High School, where he played shortstop, second base and pitcher under head coach Brennan Alejo. He earned Second Team OIA West honors during his high school career.

Born in Aiea, Kono enjoys surfing and fishing in his free time.
