Anisa “Nis” Torres, a 5’6 guard from Caruthers, California, joins the Sharks after a successful career at the College of the Sequoias under coach Tyler Newton. At Caruthers High School, Torres was a multi-sport athlete competing in basketball, softball, and volleyball, while excelling academically with a 4.0 GPA across all four years and earning Student-Athlete of the Year honors. At the college level, she continued her success both on the court and in the classroom, earning All-Conference recognition and academic distinction. Drawn to HPU for its welcoming environment and supportive coaching staff, Torres is pursuing a degree in general business while bringing her versatile guard play to the Sharks.
