Personal: Born in Spokane, WA to Joa and Cheryl Pakootas…she has three siblings: Chrystal, Joe Jr., and Chelsi…her nickname is Neece…her hobbies consist of baking and decorating cakes…she enjoys all foods…her favorite movie is Little Rascals…her favorite musical artists are NeedtoBreathe, Boys Like Girls, and NeYo…her favorite athletes are LeBron James and Shoni Schimmel…she is majoring in business…in 10 years she would like to be attending her future children’s preschool basketball games…she chose HPU because her former teammates are on the team, the coaches, and because it is in Hawaii

Prior to HPU: Peone is from Inchelium, WA where she grew up on the Colville Indian Reservation. She attended Inchelium High School for her freshman year, where she helped the basketball team to a fourth-place finish at the state championships. For her efforts she was named to the All-Panorama League first team in both basketball and volleyball. She moved to Spokane and spent two years at University High School, there she was named to the All-Greater Spokane League second-team in both sports. She graduated from Mead High School in 2010 and contributed to the team's first regional title in 18 years. Peone was McDonald's All-American nominee after that season. She then played three seasons at Eastern Washington, averaging 14.6 minutes per game while scoring 4.6 points and grabbing 2.3 rebounds. In 2011-2012, she led the Big Sky Conference in three-point percentage when she connected on 40% of her shots from deep. In 2012, she had her best single-game when she poured in 12 points against Pac12 power Cal.
