Honolulu native Mia Frye stays close to home as she continues her career with the Sharks. A 5’7 guard out of ‘Iolani School, Frye played under coach Dean Young and became one of Hawai‘i’s top prep standouts. During her junior year, she was named Most Outstanding Player of the HHSAA State Tournament, earned Most Improved honors, and collected both ILH First Team and All-State recognition. In her senior campaign, she cemented her reputation as a lockdown defender, ranking #1 on the All-Defense list. Choosing HPU allowed Frye to represent her home state while playing in front of family and friends.
