Mya Hatchett, a 5’7 point guard from Pasco, Washington, adds playmaking ability and leadership to the Sharks’ roster. A standout at Pasco Senior High School under coach Aaron Barcot, she was a four-year All-Conference selection, two-time Defensive Team honoree, and school MVP while leading her team to multiple district titles. Hatchett scored over 1,000 career points and competed at the state level, finishing third in 2022. She continued her career at Columbia Basin College and Saint Martin’s University, where she earned Academic All-Conference and Dean’s List recognition while contributing to a GNAC runner-up finish. Drawn to Hawai‘i Pacific by the culture and the opportunity to represent her game in a new environment, she is pursuing a degree in business with aspirations of becoming a business owner and opening an art gallery in the future.
