Box Score Anaheim, CA (November 5, 2011) – The Hawai'i Pacific women's basketball team beat California State University- Dominguez Hills 60-41. HPU is now 2-0, both against regional opponents, in the season opening Disney Tip-Off Classic.

The score was identical to yesterday's score against Saint Martin's University. In this game however, HPU played equal halves. HPU outscored CSDM 30-20 in the first half and 30-19 in the second half. HPU started the game hot, Mana Hopkins hit a jumper with 14:10 left in the first half to give HPU a 13-0 lead. HPU never looked back.

Hopkins went 9-18 from the field and 2-3 from deep for 20 points, she added six rebounds. Skye Savini had 12 points, five rebounds and four assists.  Paris Gravely scored eight points and Taiyande Huskey had seven. Nicole Fenumiai had a team-high eight rebounds.

HPU's defense was solid again, yielding only a 20% field goal percentage (13-64) and a 16% three-point percentage (3-19). HPU excelled at the foul line going 10-11.

The Sea Warriors play again tomorrow in the final game of the Disney Tip-Off Classic against Washburn University at 11 AM PST.
