WAIPAHU, HI (March 20, 2013) - The Hawai'i Pacific Men's Tennis Team (10-2) picked up its fourth win over a ranked team this season, defeating 22nd ranked Ouchita Baptist University (6-5) by the score of 7-2. Eighth ranked
Petr Michnev picked up his 10th straight set victory for the Sea Warriors.
HPU opened the match hot, taking all three doubles matches by the score of 8-3. The duo of
Max Hertl and Jaume Martinez Vich picked up their 10th victory of the season after winning their third doubles match.
The Sea Warriors remained dominant in singles play winning four matches, all in straight sets.
Clemens Graute won his match without dropping a game, going 6-0, 6-0 at sixth singles. Martinez-Vich took his second singles match in a hard fought three sets 4-6, 6-1, 10-2.
The HPU men return to action tomorrow when its faces Whitman College at Central Oahu Regional Park; the match is scheduled to begin at 9:00 AM.
