Box Score TURLOCK, CA (April 4,2014)—The Hawai`i Pacific Softball Team (15-17) dropped a 12-0 decision in five innings to Sonoma State (26-11). The game was the Sea Warriors third of the day at the Tournament of Champions.
 
The Sea Wolves got on the board early with two runs in the first inning and took a 6-0 lead in the top of the third.
 
Sonoma State tacked on five runs in the fifth while HPU was able to get a runner to second in the bottom half, but failed to push across a run as the Sea Wolves took the game 12-0.
 
Kristen Caskey surrendered nine earned runs in five innings of work in defeat.
 
Uluwehi Young and Caskey each picked up hits in the game.
 
After three games on day one, the Sea Warriors will play two games tomorrow. Game one is scheduled for 11:15 a.m. against UC San Diego.
