Tritons Quiet Sea Warrior Bats

TURLOCK, CA (April 5, 2014)—The Hawai`i Pacific Softball Team (15-18) dropped the first game of day two of the Tournament of Champions. HPU lost 3-0 to UC San Diego (25-7).
 
Chandell Dacosin got the start for the Sea Warriors and pitched well, allowing just two earned runs on three hits in six innings of work.
 
Despite the effort from Dacosin, it was the Tritons who emerged victorious scoring two runs in the third inning and another in the fourth for the 3-0 win.
 
HPU loaded the bases in the bottom of the fourth, but failed to push a run across.
 
Keila Elderts, Charisse Tanabe and Dacosin each had a hit and walk in the game.
 
HPU left nine runners on base versus the three left by UCSD.
 
The Sea Warriors will be back in action at 4:15 p.m. PST to face Cal State San Bernardino in the final game of the round-robin portion of the TOC.
