Box Score
LAIE, Hawaii (November 21, 2015)—The Hawaii Pacific women's basketball team continues to maneuver through a rigorous non-conference schedule and picked up a resume-building victory on Saturday afternoon.

The Sharks defeated Arizona Christian University 87-75 in their only matchup with the BYU-Hawaii Invitational at the Cannon Activities Center. After falling behind 19-10 in the first quarter, HPU stormed back to tie the game at halftime and outscored the Firestorm 23-12 in the third frame to establish a comfortable lead.

HPU (2-2), which finished a program-best 25-5 last season and made it to the opening round of the NCAA Tournament, shot 40.8 percent from the field and out-rebounded the opposition 48-35.

Breanna Mackenzie paced the Sharks with 19 points and six assists, while Aminata Cole led the way with 10 rebounds off the bench. Sophomore guard Stephanie Loui posted 17 points and a team-leading five treys, while Janessa Manzano chipped in 14 points and drained three 3-pointers to aid in HPU's 40.7 percent (11-for-27) effort from behind the arc.

The Firestorm (4-2) received a game-high 21 points from Madison Austin.

HPU returns to the hardwood on Nov. 26 and 27 to face Division II No. 1 Emporia State and Western Washington as part of the Oahu Classic. Thursday's contest tips off at noon at Saint Francis School, while Friday's game is at 3 p.m. at the Cannon Activities Center.
