Box Score HILO, HAWAII (September 12, 2015)—An early second-half goal proved to be the only offense Simon Fraser (B.C) University needed to upend the HPU women's soccer team, 1-0, amid heavy rain Saturday afternoon at UH Hilo's baseball field.
The Sharks (1-2) fell behind for good when The Clan (2-0-1) scored on Olivia Aguiar's goal, which was set up by Christina Dickson's pass in the 52
nd minute.
HPU received three saves from goalkeeper
Kelby Boswell, but with a lack of scoring on the offensive end, Simon Fraser's lone goal stood as the difference in this neutral-site matchup. The Canadian squad out-shot the Sharks 5-3 in the contest.
"We need to do a better job being more dynamic and dangerous in the attacking third," said Sharks coach
Gina Brewer.
HPU returns to the pitch on Thursday, Sept. 17 at 12:30 p.m. at Atherton Field when it faces BYU-Hawaii in a non-conference clash.
