DENVER, Colo. (March 22, 2016) – The ninth-ranked Hawaii Pacific women's tennis team defeated No. 20 Cameron (Okla.) University, 7-2, Tuesday to conclude its five-match Mile High road swing.

Kristyna Hancarova fell to No. 25 Paula Gutierrez in the top singles slot, while in the No. 2 singles position, HPU's 41
st-ranked
Nicole Hoynaski downed Alina Gorina 6-1, 6-2.
Syna Kayser posted a singles victory for HPU by dispatching Zhenia Shviadok 7-5, 6-1 in the third slot, and fellow Sharks players
Oceane Adam,
Lorena Gheorghe and
Julia Sauer also notched singles wins.
In the top doubles slot, the fourth-ranked team of Hancarova and Hoynaski – recently selected as the top doubles tandem in the West region, a first for the HPU women's program – claimed its matchup with Shviadok and Gorina, 8-5. Gheorghe and Kayser were also victorious in doubles competition and defeated Angie Torres and Samantha Wood, 8-1.
HPU (12-3) returns to the Islands then will head East to face West Florida and Armstrong State April 9-10 in Florida before gearing up for the PacWest Championships in Surprise, Ariz.
