Box Score 2 AZUSA, Calif. (April 5, 2016) – The Hawaii Pacific softball team lost both games of a doubleheader with Azusa Pacific University, falling 6-4 in the opener and dropping the return matchup 12-0 (five innings), at Cougar Softball Complex.
The Sharks (13-25, 9-11 PacWest) saw
Dominique Walker, a freshman catcher, outfielder and designated player, continue her hot streak at the plate and notch two hits in the first game before singling in the second game. Walker has now hit safely in 14 straight and 22 of her last 23 contests, and leads the team with a .364 batting average.
HPU pitcher
Paige Crawford (5-9) took the loss in the opener after surrendering six runs on 10 hits, including Janelle Eccles' two-run, walk-off homer. Sharks hurler
Kristen Caskey (6-8) was saddled with the loss in the second contest after giving up nine runs (six earned) on seven hits through 2 1/3 innings.

Noelani Boyer,
Kristy Washizaki and Crawford led the Sharks offense with two hits apiece in the first game, while Washizaki added two more hits in the mercy-rule shortened second contest.
The Cougars (24-8, 11-3) relied on Eccles, who finished the day with a double, triple, two homers and three RBI.
HPU continues its 14-game road swing with doubleheaders against California Baptist (April 6, 5/7:30 p.m.) and Concordia Irvine (April 8, 2/4:30 p.m.).
