HONOLULU -- No. 1 Hawai'i Pacific University did not drop a set in beating Southern New Hampshire 7-0 on Monday afternoon at the Central Oahu Regional Park.
 
The top ranked Sharks (10-4) used the Division II cross-regional match with the Penmen (6-6) to play the Division I format where a standard set is played in doubles for an aggregate one point.
 
The Sharks dropped only three games as they swept all three doubles positions. HPU followed by winning all six singles points with only one position going three sets.
 
To get the doubles point, HPU won at No. 1 with 
Jack Lyttle/
Torben Otto shutting out Miguel and Ricardo Marreiros 6-0, with 
Filip Soban/
Juan Erro taking No. 2 doubles over Bas Van Biezen /Xavier Aubron 6-3, and 
Gerard Andres Rodriguez/
Jakub Hadrava ripped Tiago Fernandes/Adam Courtemanche at No. 3 doubles 6-0.
 
The Sharks were led in the sweep of singles by 34th ranked Otto who took down Fernandes at No. 1 singles 6-4, 6-1. Playing up at No. 2 singles for the first time this season, Rodriguez downed Ricardo Marreiros 7-6, 6-7, 1-0 (10-8).
 
Lyttle won No. 3 singles against Miguel Marreiros 6-0, 6-1. Soban beat Aubron at No. 4 singles 6-2, 6-1, as Erro took No. 5 singles against Van Biezen 7-5, 6-4, and 
Adrian Elduque defeated Jeremy Reichentahl 6-0, 6-1 at No. 6 singles.
 
The Sharks return to the court on Thursday when they host NCAA Division III California Lutheran at 11 a.m. at the Kailua Racquet Club.
