WAIKOLOA, Hawai'i – Hawai'i Pacific University finished 10th at the 2019 Dennis Rose Women's Invitational at the Beach Course at the Waikolo Resort on Wednesday.
HPU posted their best round of the tournament with a 332 in the final round, with a final total of 1034. Saint Martin's finished ninth at 947 for the 54-hole event.
Sophomore
Kaley Saludares of Hilo, Hawai'i/Waiakea, was the top Shark in the final 18 holes, firing a 6-over 76 on the par 70, 6002-yard Beach course to finish at 242.
Junior
Hannah Brown of San Tan Valley, Ariz./Combs, shot an 9-over 79 to lead the Sharks for the tournament at 233.
Junior
Kassidy Dunn of Berlin, Pa./Berlin Borthersvalley, had her best round of the tournament with an 84 to finish at 275, while freshman
Victoria McQuay of Virginia Beach, Va./Green Run carded a 93 for a 284 and freshman
Avery Weil of Colorado Springs, Colo./Maclaren recorded a 103 for a 299 total.
Concordia Portland won the team competition after a 291 on Wednesday to finish at 886, four strokes better than Sonoma State at 890. Western Washington was third at 901.
Cal State Monterey Bay's Isabel Carpenter, playing as an individual, fired a final round even-par 70 to tie Concordia Portland's Cammie Decker at 4-over par 214 for the tournament. Western New Mexico's Brenda Dominguez was third with a 6-over 216.
The Sharks wrap up the fall season with the event.
