TEMPE, Ariz. – The Hawai'i Pacific University men's tennis team fell one spot to No. 16 in the first regular season Oracle/ITA Division II Men's Tennis Rankings administered by Intercollegiate Tennis Association.
The Sharks sport a 2-0 record to open the season, with their only other schedule rained out.
Barry (Fla.) moved up to No. 1, with Columbus State (Ga.) dropping to No. 2. Lynn (Fla.) remained third and West Flordia fourth. Wingate (N.C.) climbed to fifth.
Saint Leo (Fla.) is up to sixth, with Hawai'i Hilo moving up to seventh. Lander (S.C.) fell to eighth, Indianapolis (Ind.) remained ninth and Southwest Baptist (Mo.) moved up to 10th.
The PacWest is also represented by No. 11 Azusa Pacific and No. 16 HPU. No other West region team is in the top 25.
The Sharks are idle until March 5 when they travel to southern California to face No. 11 APU in Azusa, Calif. The Sharks also play at Point Loma on March 6 and at UC San Diego on March 7.
