IRVINE, Calif. – Hawai'i Pacific University's Zach Kwan has been selected as the PacWest Men's Co-Golfer of the Week for his play in the Biola Spring Invitational this week.
 
Kwan, a senior from Sacramento, Calif./Granite Bay, won the individual title at the Biola Spring Invitational, posting a 234 at the challenging Bear Creek Golf Club in Murrieta, Calif., the home of the second stage of the PGA Tournament Qualifying School. Kwan lead the Sharks to their first mainland tournament victory in at least seven years, as HPU posted a 947 team score and won the five-team event by 39 strokes over host Biola.
 
Joining Kwan as the PacWest Co-Golfer of the Week is Gabriel Manotoc of Academy of Art who shot a 217 in placing 11th at the Tim Tierney Pioneer Shootout as ARTU tied for eighth in the 16 team field. The PacWest Women's Golfer of the Week is Point Loma's Alli Kim who won the Augustana Spring Fling individual title in leading Point Loma to the team win.
 
The Sharks have no team tournaments before the PacWest Conference Championship in April, but are expected to play some dual matches prior to the conference tournament.
