IRVINE, Calif. – Hawai'i Pacific University's Kaia Takaki has been named the PacWest Women's Golfer of the Week for her play last weekend in the Anuenue Spring Break Classic.
 
Takaki, a senior from Honolulu/Kalani, help lead the Sharks at the University of Hawai'i's tournament at the Waikoloa Resort Kings course. She led the Sharks in each of the last two days of the competition and finished with a 4-over-par 76, the best HPU round in the tournament. Takaki finished with a 242 for the classic in which HPU was the only Division II competitor.
 
Takaki is the only PacWest Golfer of the Week this week, as all PacWest men's teams were idle.
