LITCHFIELD PARK, Ariz. – The Hawai'i Pacific University women made a marked improvement on Tuesday, posting a 322 in the second round of the PacWest Conference Championships at the Wigwam Resort's Gold Course.
The Sharks turned in the fourth-best round of the day and improved their score by 22 strokes on Tuesday, but remained in seventh place in the championships at 666.
No. 16 Academy of Art fired a team score of even-par 288 on Tuesday to lead the tournament by 16 strokes over Biola who improved with a 301 today to stand second at 604. Point Loma is third at 625. Holy Names is in fourth at 646, with Hawai 'I Hilo fifth at 649, Dominican sixth at 658.
For the second straight day, the Sharks were led by senior
Lexandra So of West Covina, Calif./West Covina who toured the par 72, 5927-yard Gold Course women's layout in 6-over-par 78 to move into the top 20 with a 161.
Senior Pranisa "Mint" Chimsuti of Pathumtani, Thailand/Satit Bilingual School, rebounded with a 9-over 81, while senior
Kaia Takaki from Honolulu/Kalani added an 82. The duo are tied for 25th at 166.

Mika Walker of Honolulu/Kaiser carded a 9-over 81 for a 173, and sophomore
Marli Koba of Seattle/Garfield recorded an 88 for a 188 through two rounds.
Anahi Servin of Academy of Art fired a 5-under 67 to move to the top of the individual leaderboard at 2-under 142. ART U's Biapor Khunsri shot a 2-under 70 for second at even-par 144, two strokes back. Biola's Sami Penor is third after a 5-over 77 dropped her to 3-over 147.
The Sharks will play the final round again with Dominican, with tee times starting at 10 a.m. at the Wigwam Resort.
