AIEA, Hawai'i – Led by a 2-over-par 74 of second-year sophomore Keli'i Kamelamela-Dudoit, Hawai'i Pacific University tied with Chaminade at 314 in a dual match Monday afternoon at Pearl Country Club. The match signaled the resumption of intercollegiate athletic competition for the two schools since COVID-19 abruptly ended all play last March.
Kamelamela-Dudoit of Ho'olehua, Hawai'i/Kamehameha-Kapalama toured the par 72, 6,787 yard Pearl layout one stroke off the pace.
Chaminade's Schuyler Peterson posted a one-over 73 to win individual honors.

Ray Kim of Aiea, Hawai'i/Moanalua and Chaminade's Jeren Nishimoto tied for third at 5-over 77. HPU true freshman
Isaac Kinsman of Vancouver, Wash./Prairie, who played as an individual, finished fifth at 7-over 79.

Ryan Torres of San Jose, Calif./Evergreen Valley and CUH's Colby Gunderson both shot an 80. HPU true freshman
Noah Daher of Cottonwood, Ariz./Mingus Union added an 83.
HPU second-year senior
Tom Purcell of Liverpool, England/St. Mary's and CUH's Desmond Mello tied at 84, while the Silverswords' Gavin Bedoya posted an 86 to round out the team scoring.
The rest of the competition featured individual players, with HPU Nate Gani of Lanai City, Hawai'i/Lanai recording an 85, Shark
Hudson Holland of Bragg Creek, Alberta, Canada/Maui Prep (Hawai'i) an 88 and Chaminade's Kalani Frazier a 95.
After not playing competitively since last March, the Sharks and Silverswords meet again in a second dual on Tuesday also at the Pearl Country Club.
