IRVINE, Calif. –Hawai'i Pacific University's Keli'i Kamelamela-Dudoit was selected as one of the three PacWest Conference Men's Golfers of the Week for his outstanding performance over the last week by the conference office.
Kamelamela-Dudoit, a junior from Ho'olehua, Hawai'i/Kamehameha-Kapalama, posted the best round of the tournament and tied for the individual title at the Hawai'i Triangular at Pearl Country Club on Tuesday. Kamelamela-Dudoit fired a 3-under-par 69 in the opening round of the tournament, his season-best and equaling the best by a Shark this season. He followed that with a 1-over 73 to tie for the tournament's individual title at 2-under 142 as he led the Sharks to the team title.
Kamelamela-Dudoit is joined in the weekly honors by Hawai'i Hilo's Keith Ng, who tied him for the Hawai'i Triangular win, and by Academy of Art's Matthew Watkins who won the individual title at the Chico State Wildcat Classic. Biola's Brady Turnquist was the Women's PacWest Golfer of the Week after winning the Westminster Wasatch Invitational.
The Sharks play again in two weeks when they travel to the Big Island to compete in the Dennis Rose Intercollegiate at the Waikoloa Beach Resort.
