WAIMEA, Hawai'i – Hawai'i Pacific University remained in 10th place after posting a 318 in the second round of the 2021 Dennis Rose Women's Intercollegiate at the Hapuna Golf Course.
The Sharks are all along in 10th with a two round total of 641, seven strokes ahead of Northwest Nazarene in 11th at 648, but 10 strokes behind Cal State Monterey Bay in ninth at 631.
Leading the way for the Sharks is freshman
Lily Landt of Reno, Nev./Wooster, who is tied for 20th overall after carding a 7-over-par 79 for a 155.
The round of the day for HPU came from freshman
Clarissa Burhan of Las Vegas, Nev./Clark, who toured the par 72, 6,029-yard Hapuna women's layout in 5-over 77. She has a 36-hole total of
162. Freshman
Kellie Yamane of Aiea, Hawai'i/Iolani shot a 9-over 81 to stand tied for 33rd at 158. Freshmen
Kaylee Akagi of Mililani, Hawai'i/Punahou turned in an 81 as well for a 166 total, with sophomore
Megan Marty of Scottsdale, Ariz./Desert Mountain adding an 83 for a total of 169.
HPU individuals playing have freshman
Makenna Reinhardt of Le Sueur, Minn./Le Sueur-Henderson recording an 86 for a 169 total after two rounds, with freshman
Kaila Bonawitz of Vancouver, Wash./Mountain View adding an 85 for a 173, and sophomore
Kirsten Lindner of Glendora, Calif./Glendora carding an 86 to total 178.
The final round of the 54-hole women's tournament is Wednesday at Hapuna.
