ROME, GA – The Hawai'i Pacific University women's tennis team wrapped up day one of competition at the ITA Cup in Rome, Ga.
 
Senior Elodie Busson advanced to the quarterfinals after defeating Ana Carla Resende 7-5, 3-6, 6-2. She plays tomorrow against the number two seed from Barry.
 
Senior Marleen Tilgner fell to the number three seed and fifth in the country Luis Hrda in straight sets 6-4, 7-6, and will play in the west portion of the bracket tomorrow.
 
Mihoki Miyahara/Elodie Busson's doubles team advanced to the quarter-finals after defeating Heinem/Meier (Flager) 6-7, 6-3, 12-10. The duo is prepped to take on Grand Valley State.
