ROME, Ga. – The Hawai'i Pacific University women's tennis team continues to swim through the competition on day two of the ITA Cup at the Rome Tennis Center.
 
On the singles side of the tournament, senior Elodie Busson advanced to the semifinals after defeating number two-seeded and fourth-ranked in the country Julie Razafindranaly in straight sets 6-3, 6-3, and will face Sonia Smagina of Washburn.
 
After suffering a loss and being relegated to the west division bracket, senior Marleen Tilgner defeated Nastasia Jedrychowski 4-6, 6-3, 6-0, and will face Sanne Selmer of Adelphi next.
 
The dynamic duo of Mihoki Miyahara/Elodie Busson kept chugging along as they made quick work of Grand Valley State 6-2, 6-4. The pair are awaiting the winner of Nova Southeastern and Saint Mary's (TX).
