Sharks Take Fourth at Pearl Country Club

AIEA - The Hawaii Pacific University, women's golf team, wrapped up their two days of hosting the Southwest Airlines HPU Shark Shootout on Wednesday afternoon at Pearl Country Club.

The Sharks finished the event with their best team score of the fall season at 23-over-par, a total of 599, to take fourth place. Cal State San Marcos dominated the competition, shooting 5-under-par for a 20-stroke win.

HPU's Kellie Yamane finished third overall in the event. She carded a 5-under 67 and a 3-over 75, finishing at 2-under-par for the event. She was one of four participants under par for the two days and recorded the lowest round score of 67.

Recording a T14 finish was Lily Landt at 5-over-par 149. Clarrissa Burhan followed closely behind her teammate at 8-over-par 152. The final two of the Sharks scorers were Shuiyun He who carded a 12-over 156 and Kameron Kwong at 22-over 166.

HPU had two individual entries in the competition Megan Marty had a good two days coming in T30 at 11-over and Kristen Lindner completed the event T66 at 21-over-par.

The Sharks have a rest day as they travel to Waikoloa, Hawaii for the remainder of the tournament hosted by UH Hilo.
