DUPONT, Wash. – The Hawai'i Pacific University men's golf team placed 12th overall in the SMU Bishop Invitational this weekend at The Home Course.
Senior Keli'i Dudoit began the fall campaign with a 3-over-par 75 on Friday, followed by a 4-over-par Saturday to shoot a team-best 7-over-par on the weekend.
The Sharks posted identical 308s on Friday and Saturday for a combined 616 in their fall season debut. Simon Fraser led the field at 7-under-par 569 for the two days.
Freshman
Shion Suzuki, the Japan native, carded a 10-over-par 154 weekend in his collegiate debut. Freshman
Miles Atkinson finished his weekend T58 and carded a 14-over-par 158. Closely following was freshman
Santino Diokno, who finished 15-over-par 159 in a tie for 62nd. Senior
Hasee Nazir carded a 162 18-over-par for a T65 finish. Rounding out the bunch was junior
Noah Daher T67 with a 19-over-par 163.
Dudoit carded five birdies, 21 pars, eight bogeys, and two double bogeys in the opening weekend.
The Sharks stick around this week in Washington to play in the Western Washington Invitational starting Monday.
