ROCKLIN, CA – Hawai'i Pacific women's soccer battled through a physical match on the road Thursday afternoon, playing Jessup to a 0–0 draw at Warrior Field.
The Sharks (1-2-3, 0-0-2 PacWest) created quality chances throughout the afternoon, outshooting Jessup 8–11 but putting three on frame. Lauren Longworth led the way with three shots, including one on goal, while Kalea Ajel and Abbey Glover each added shots that forced saves.
Defensively, HPU leaned on freshman goalkeeper Skylar Jacobsen, who turned in another strong performance with six saves to record her third shutout of the season. The Sharks' back line held firm under late Warrior pressure, especially in the second half when Jessup generated eight shots and a pair of corner kicks.
HPU produced four corners of their own and pushed numbers forward in search of a game-winner, but couldn't find the finishing touch. The result marks the Sharks' second consecutive scoreless draw and extends their unbeaten streak to three matches.
