Biography

Personal: Born in Honolulu, Hawaii…parents are Richard and Rosie Akau…has one brother, Reign (25) and a sister, Sky (21)…enjoys watching sports…favorite movies are The Sandlot and 50 First Dates…favorite music artists are SOJA and Natural Vibrations…favorite athletes are Derek Jeter and Robinson Cano…in ten years he wants to be successful and enjoying life…chose HPU for the opportunity to play baseball and go to school close to home.
 
Prior to HPU: Graduate of Pearl City High School where he played baseball for Coach Mitch Yamato and earned 2012 OIA West Second-Team at third base.

HPU: 2016: made 40 appearances with 38 starts...hit for a .307 average (39-127) scoring 22 runs and driving in 11 rbi...hit four doubles, one triple, walked seven times and stole two bases in four attempts 2015: played in 21 games making 10 starts...hit for a .278 average (10-36), scored nine runs and drove in three rbi 2014: Akau played in 14 games, making four starts. In 14 at-bats he drove in three RBI’s on one hit which was a double and was a perfect 1-1 stealing on base path. 2013: Redshirted
