Personal: Duenas was born in Redding, CA and grew up in Cottonwood, CA…has four brothers; Jason (35), Jacob (32), Tyler (30), and Troy (25)…hobbies include playing pool, ping pong, and going to the beach… favorite food is Mexican food…favorite movie is Horrible Bosses…favorite musical artist is Bronson Aiwohi…favorite athletes are Buster Posey and Stephen Curry…majoring in General Business…in 10 years he hopes to be done with school and starting a career…choose HPU so he could live and play baseball in Hawai’i

Prior to HPU: Duenas was a three sport athlete at West Valley High School…he was a cornerback in football for coach Greg Grandel, a point guard in basketball for coach Josh Schwerdt, and a pitcher/outfielder for coach Eric Proscher…during high school he was awarded All-League Honors…after graduating he went onto play baseball as a pitcher at Shasta College for head coach Brad Rupert…during his time at Shasta he was a Scholar Athlete

HPU: 2016: Made six appearances, pitched 7.2 innings, allowed eight earned runs, struck out eight batters...posted a 9.39 ERA  2015: Made eight appearances,...pitched 7.1 innings, allowed seven earned runs, struck out seven, and recorded one save
