Olivia Tangaan joins the Sharks from Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory in San Francisco, California. The 5-foot-7 California native is pursuing a degree in Environmental Science at Hawai?i Pacific.

Tangaan enjoyed a successful prep career under head coach Symone Mackiewicz, showcasing her versatility by competing as a setter, defensive specialist, outside hitter, libero, and opposite hitter. She helped lead Sacred Heart Cathedral to CIF Central Coast Section Division III championships in 2022 and 2024, a runner-up finish in 2023, and a CIF Northern California Division II championship in 2023. As a senior, she served as team captain and was honored with the Kelly Gallagher Spirit Award.

Tangaan brings leadership and a team-first mentality to HPU after a decorated high school career. Away from the court, she enjoys spending quality time with family and friends, going on walks, and biking.
