Biography

Mayah Nakasato joins the Sharks from University Laboratory School in Honolulu, Hawai?i. The 5-foot-4 libero/defensive specialist is currently undecided on her major at Hawai?i Pacific.

Nakasato enjoyed a standout prep career under head coach Walt Quitan. Originally playing outside hitter, she developed into a versatile defensive player and was named the 2025-26 ILH Division II Player of the Year after earning ILH Division II Second Team honors during the 2024-25 season.

Nakasato chose HPU to remain close to home while continuing her volleyball career in a supportive and positive culture. Away from the court, she enjoys spending time at the beach and eating sushi. In the future, she hopes to build a career in human resources while continuing to call Hawai?i home.
