Biography

2025 Season

Mia Ferdinand appeared in 17 matches, playing 32 sets for the Sharks. She recorded 16 kills on 58 attempts for a .138 hitting percentage, averaging 0.50 kills per set. She added 8 digs and 21 total blocks, finishing with 27.0 points and 0.84 points per set.
 

Mia Ferdinand joins the Sharks from Mercy High School in Burlingame, California. The 6-foot-1 middle blocker/rightside hitter is originally from Half Moon Bay, California, and plans to major in Psychology at Hawai?i Pacific.

Ferdinand put together an impressive prep career, earning San Mateo Daily Journal Player of the Year, First Team All-League, and Offensive MVP honors in 2024. She also received All-League Honorable Mention recognition in 2022 while competing under head coaches Ray Sum, Serah Pele, and Shannon Lee.

Ferdinand brings a strong offensive presence to the Sharks after a decorated high school career and will look to continue her development both on the court and in the classroom at HPU.
