The PacWest Conference Defensive Player of the Week, Mackenzie led the HPU defense in a pair of road wins to take sole possession of second place in the conference race. Mackenzie averaged 8.5 points, 12.0 rebounds, 3.5 steals and 3.0 assists for the Sharks. She grabbed a career high 15 rebounds (13 defensive) to go with six steals and six points in the win at UH-Hilo. She just missed a double-double with 11 points and a game-high nine boards with five assists at Notre Dame de Namur. HPU limited their opponents to just 46.0 points for the week, holding them to just 29.5 percent from the floor (33-of-112) and 16.7 percent (6-of-36) from the 3-point arc. HPU outrebounded its opponents by 15.5 boards a game during the week, while forcing a difference of 5.0 turnovers as well.
