Box Score 2 KANEOHE, HI (March 15, 2014)—The Hawai`i Pacific (10-12, 10-10) picked up a pair of victories against Academy of Art (4-12, 2-4) on Saturday. The Sea Warriors took a 9-0 five-inning mercy-rule win in game one and emerged victorious 3-0 in game two.
The Sea Warriors jumped on the Urban Knights starter early in game one.
HPU put up five runs on six hits while sending 11 hitters to the plate to take an early 5-0 lead.
The Sea Warriors made it 9-0 with four more runs in the third inning which proved to be more than enough for HPU starter
Chandell Dacosin allowed just three hits in five innings for the complete game shutout.
Game two was a pitchers duel as neither side was able to score through the first four innings..
HPU finally broke through in the fifth for three runs.
Sharae Esprecion started the inning with a walk and Kelia Elderts followed with an infield single.
Dorian Acierto then hit what proved to be the game-winning RBI-double.

Kristen Caskey picked up HPU's second complete game shutout of the day, allowing just three hits in seven innings of work while striking out two.
Acierto finished the day with four RBI and three runs scored. Esprecion ended up with one RBI and a pair of runs.
The two teams will face off again tomorrow in a doubleheader at Howard A Okita Field beginning at noon.
