Kristen Caskey got the start on the mound for the Sea Warriors in game one which turned into a pitchers duel early on.

Both teams threatened getting runners in scoring position, but the game remained scoreless in the seventh.

Penguin pitcher Ashlyn Moriarty helped her cause with a two-out single and scored on an ensuing double. Keila Elderts got the Sea Warriors out of the inning on the next batter by throwing out the Dominican base runner at home after a single.

In the seventh Caskey came on to bat and reached base with a single to left. Toni Baysa moved the game-tying run to second base, but a diving stop by the Penguin's second baseman ended the game leaving the Sea Warriors with the 1-0 loss.

In game two, the Penguins got on the board first with a run in the top of the fourth to take a 1-0 lead. HPU answered with a big fifth inning to retake the lead.
