Benny Agbayani is HPU’s only baseball first-team All-American, being named to the team in 1993, that season he was also the Area One Player of the Year. He hit 10 homeruns, the most in a single season by a Sea Warrior. Agbayani also had great speed and is the all-time leader in steals with 83; in 1993 alone he stole 37 bases. Agbayani ranks 6th in average, 3rd in homeruns, 4th in runs and 9th in hits in the HPU record book. Agbayani was drafted twice and eventually was the first HPU player to make it to the major leagues, playing in the World Series with the New York Mets.
