HPU Athletics Hall of Fame presented by Wealth Strategy Partners
John Strickland was a two-time All-American that helped lead HPU to NAIA National Tournament appearances in 1994 and 1995. His play in his senior season at the NAIA Championships led him to being selected to the All-Tournament Team, despite HPU only advancing to the round of 16. His 805 points and 393 rebounds in his junior season of 1993-94 still remain single-season records today. His 1,597 career points were a record at the time that was later surpassed by teammate Llewellyn Smalley, but his 750 career rebounds share the HPU record with teammate James Williams.
