Personal: Born in Las Vegas, Nevada…parents are Marvin and Johnnie Campbell, he has two sisters, Kimberly and Selena…enjoys listening to music, watching movies, and spending time with his cousin…favorite movies are Blue Streak, Hard Ball, and Bull Durham…favorite music artists are Lil Wayne, Meek Mill, and Kendrick Lamar…favorite athletes are Chipper Jones, Kobe Bryant, and Brandon Phillips…in ten years he would like to be playing major league baseball with his friends…majoring in communications…chose HPU for the coaching staff.
 
Prior to HPU: Graduate of Las Vegas High School where he played baseball (1B and 3B), basketball (F), and football (WR and QB)…Was a four-year letterman at Las Vegas High School under head coach Sam Thomas ... Played first and third base and also saw time as the designated hitter ... Helped the Wildcats to four consecutive Sunrise Region Northeast Division championships ... Named first team All-Southern Nevada in 2007 as a designated hitter and 2008 as a first baseman ... Also selected to the first time Sunrise Region following his senior year ... Was also a first team division and region MVP as a member of the basketball team ... Played quarterback and wide receiver for three years and was a member of two state championship teams in 2005 and `06…Also attended College of Southern Nevada and UNLV…while at Southern Nevada, he Helped guide the Coyotes to a third place finish at the NJCAA World Series and a 52-16 overall record as a sophomore ... Started all 68 games played in during his sophomore campaign ... Batted .302 with 70 hits, including 10 doubles, seven triples and 15 home runs ... Had a .599 slugging percentage and drove in 69 runs in addition to drawing 28 walks...Finished with a .984 fielding percentage, committing just one error on the year...Was a second team all-conference outfielder and also named to the NJCAA World Series all-tournament team ... Played in 52 games, making 50 starts as a freshman ... Batted .314 with 23 extra-base hits ... Drove in 53 runs and drew 23 walks while holding a .553 slugging percentage…While at UNLV, he Played in 16 games and made 10 starts before taking a medical redshirt due to injury ... Batted .310 (13-for-42) with three doubles, a triple and a home run ...
