Born and raised in Honolulu, Dominic “Kila” Teixeira enters Hawai‘i Pacific as a true utility presence with versatility across the field. A Roosevelt High standout, Teixeira earned four varsity seasons and built an award-heavy résumé as both a catcher and all-around contributor — highlighted by dual MVP honors, multiple OIA selections, and recognition from the Roosevelt Athletics Department for excellence and leadership.
He chose HPU because of its proximity to home, its baseball opportunities, and the financial fit that made continuing his education possible while staying in Hawai‘i. Off the field, he enjoys the beach, hacky sack, gaming, and the simple greatness of spicy ahi poke, steak, and rice. His long-term goals span beyond athletics — striving to play Major League Baseball or pursue a career as a Physician Assistant or X-ray Tech, grounded in work ethic and ambition.
