Standing 6’4” from the island of Kaua‘i, Joshua Rego joins the Sharks as a decorated left-handed pitcher with standout two-way ability. A product of Kaua‘i High School under coach Spencer Yates, he arrives at HPU following back-to-back First Team All-State selections and a KIF Player of the Year honor — achievements that reflect both talent and presence on the diamond.

Rego, known as Josh, grew up in Kapa‘a with a love for baseball, basketball, fishing, and cooking. His plate favorites range from steak to chicken alfredo and kalua pig, while his playlist rotates Drake, Maoli, Noah Kahan, and Morgan Wallen. Inspired by LeBron James, he now looks to build on his success at the next level in Shark blue.
