Rylen Bayne arrives at HPU as a versatile two-way threat with a championship-caliber résumé and proven success across multiple collegiate levels. A standout at South Kitsap High School, Bayne excelled as both a pitcher and shortstop while also lettering twice as a football quarterback and free safety. His collegiate journey continued through Bellevue College and the University of Hawai‘i at Manoa, where he developed into one of the Northwest’s most decorated utility players — earning NWAC North MVP, First Team All-American honors, and multiple league awards.

Drawn to Hawai‘i Pacific for its culture, competitiveness, and opportunity to keep growing at a high level, Bayne strengthens the Sharks with experience, leadership, and the ability to impact games on the mound and in the infield. Off the field, he enjoys watching sports, exploring new food spots, and staying close to family while pursuing long-term goals of playing professionally or working within Major League Baseball operations.
