Justaliyah Ford joins the Sharks cheer team in her first year from Staten Island, New York. The 5-foot-3 flyer is pursuing a degree in Nursing at Hawai'i Pacific.

Ford comes to HPU after attending Notre Dame Academy High School in Staten Island, where she competed in cheerleading as a flyer under coaches Andrea Vindigni, Danielle Vindigni and Kimberly Fitzgerald. She earned a Most Improved award.

Ford chose HPU because she has always dreamed of going to school in Hawai'i and wanted a completely different environment from New York, and she loves the culture and differences here. In her free time, she enjoys shopping, trying new foods, going to the beach, baking and being outdoors. Looking ahead, she hopes to become a psychiatrist. She was born on Staten Island.
