Brayden Murua arrives at Hawai‘i Pacific University as a left-handed hitting shortstop with collegiate experience and a grinder’s mentality. A product of Oakmont High School under coach Paul Martinez, he continued his development at Cosumnes River College, where he earned Second Team All-Conference honors and solidified himself as an athletic, reliable infielder.
Nicknamed Captain, B, and Nutty, Murua is drawn to HPU for its coaching, culture, and the opportunity to grow both academically and athletically in a place that values trust, family, and authenticity. Outside of baseball, he’s right at home outdoors – dirt biking, golfing, fishing, and playing pickleball.
Brayden’s goal is crystal clear: play baseball professionally and keep climbing.
