Hawaii Pacific University Athletics

Lilian Valerio joins the Sharks cheer team in her first year from Garden Grove, California. The 5-foot-1 side and main base is pursuing a degree in Elementary Education at Hawai'i Pacific.

Valerio comes to HPU after attending Fountain Valley High School in Fountain Valley, California, where she competed in cheer and track and field, as a side and main base in cheer, under coach Courtney Davis. She earned a varsity letter, served as team captain and was named Most Valuable Athlete.

Valerio chose HPU because it is a good choice for her major and she loves the environment and culture. In her free time, she enjoys sewing, cooking, baking and reading. Looking ahead, she hopes to become a second grade teacher. She was born in Upland, California, and is the daughter of Jackie and Charles. She has an older brother, Princetin, and an older sister, Vivian.
